On August 18, 2005, German Escobar was leading a landscaping crew on a construction project when he was asked by the superintendent of the General Contractor, Porter Brothers, to assist in lifting a huge wall. Mr. Escobar’s Accident and Injuries

Even after the surgery, the doctors found that Mr. Escobar’s spine was 20% impaired, and that this would remain with him for the rest of his life.

Even after all he had gone through, German did attempt to return to work at his employment as a landscaper. His employer could not accommodate Mr. Escobar’s light duty restrictions, and he was thus terminated. Mr. Escobar was unable to work in any heavy labor type of jobs, and with only a sixth grade education it was very difficult for him to find a job to support his family.
