Move to make H’field’s off-campus policy a federal case

The parents of a Haddonfield Memorial High School student filed a federal lawsuit against the school board this morning, challenging its off-campus drug and alcohol policy.
This is the second lawsuit over the policy in as many months.
In December an unnamed 15-year-old girl facing punishment for an alcohol-related arrest over the Thanksgiving weekend sued the school board.
A state court has ruled it was not a matter for the courts but for the state Department of Education to address.
