The BBB gathers and reports information on business reliability, alerts the public to frauds against consumer and businesses, and provides information on ethical business practices. It also acts as a mutually trusted intermediary between consumers and businesses to resolve disputes.

BBB Ratings Systems

The BBB Ratings system is a grade, which is based on a formula that evaluates categories of information and it represents BBB's degree of confidence for businesses operating in a trustworthy manner and will make good faith efforts to resolve concerns.

Businesses are rated on 16 elements. The rating system uses grades from A to F, with pluses and minuses. A+ is the highest grade, and F is the lowest.

In order to obtain an A+, the company must be rated between 97 and 100%.
