Bio:
Amy was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She attended the University of Texas at El Paso where she earned a B.A. in Political Science and minored in Legal Reasoning. After graduating, Amy relocated to Arizona to attend law school at Arizona State University's College of Law. While in law school, Amy was an active member of the Advocacy Program Against Domestic Violence and ASU's Student Bar Association. She graduated from law school with highest pro bono distinction.
While a law student, Amy served as law clerk for Texas RioGrande Legal Aid after her first year in law school. She also interned for the Honorable Bruce Cohen at the Superior Court of Maricopa County, Arizona and Honorable Mary H. Murguia at the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. In addition, Amy worked for the Maricopa County Attorney's Office trying felony cases as a Rule 38 intern. During her final year of law school, she worked as a law clerk at Arizona State University's Student Legal Services Office.
Upon graduation, Amy worked as a law clerk at Michael Cordova, P.C., and upon receiving her license to practice law, she accepted a position as an associate with the firm.
Amy is a huge supporter of the local Arts, as her daughter attends Arizona School of the Arts in Phoenix, Arizona. During her free time, Amy enjoys hiking Camelback Mountain, golfing, running, tennis, and spending time with her family.
