Alexia was born in Wyoming. She moved to New York in 2002 where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University. At Columbia University, she was on the Dean’s list, a recipient of an internship scholarship to work at the Legal Aid Society, and was published in two literary journals. After graduating, she worked in property management for a short time before she moved to Arizona to attend law school at Arizona State University. While attending law school, Alexia participated in several trial competitions including the National Trial Competition in Santa Monica, CA, the ABA Criminal Trial Competition in Chicago, IL and the American Association for Justice Opening Statement Contest at ASU. At ASU, she served as the Youth Mentoring Board Secretary as well as being aPro Bono Fellowship Recipient and an Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps Fellowship Recipient for her work at the Arizona Justice Project. During law school, Alexia also worked for the Federal Public Defender’s Office as a Capital Habeas Unit clerk, Kunz Plitt, Hyland, Demlong & Kleifield as an insurance practice clerk, and the Maricopa County Public Defender’s Office as a student attorney.

After graduation, Alexia completed a public interest fellowship with Defenders of Children, a non—profit aimed at advocating for abused children--before coming to work at Michael Córdova, P.C.

Alexia loves everything Phoenix, including supporting local arts, charities, businesses, restaurants, and downtown development projects. In her free time, Alexia enjoys yoga, skiing, long-distance running, swimming, and foreign film.
