Mark comes from humble beginnings in Hawaii. Coming from a family of immigrants, Mark was pushed to do well in school and life in general. To that end, Mark pushed forward by becoming the first member of his family to attend law school. Starting out his law school career in San Francisco, Mark would eventually transfer back to his hometown to complete law school at the University of Hawaii. Mark remained in Hawaii for almost 30 years before making the trek to Arizona in 2009.

With Mark’s long tenure as a lawyer starting in 1981, he brings an extensive background in litigating personal injury claims arising from automobile accidents, to premises liability, and to injuries arising from animals. Additionally, not only is Mark recognized as an outstanding trial lawyer, but also argued in front of the Supreme Court of Hawaii. Mark also brings a unique view by having worked on both sides of the coin in personal injury—for the plaintiff and the defendant. Mark would eventually find his passion as serving plaintiffs and now does so vigorously.

Mark is a proud father to four children, all of whom are now adults. Mark’s passion to serve people is an apparent family trait, as one of his children now serves in the lower house of Hawaii’s state legislature. In Mark’s off time, he enjoys keeping up with the latest car trends and currently sits on the Board of Directors for Desert Stars, the northern Arizona section of the Mercedes Benz Owners Club of America. Mark, a secret foodie stemming from his mother, also enjoys finding the best places to eat around metro Phoenix.
